I am very excited to have created a digital illustration and watercolor paintings that represent one of the most interesting stories in American History. The story of the SS Central America with over 400 passengers and crew lost in a hurricane in 1857 and then found in 5000 feet of deep ocean 200 miles west of Charleston, South Carolina in 1988 by Tommy Thompson and Bob Evans, founders of the Columbus America Discovery Group. it has been the richest recovery of treasure in American History. Millions of dollars of $20 gold double eagle coins and ingots were recovered. Some of the coins have sold for more than $30,000 each!!
